Abiding Word is a confessional Lutheran church in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. We are a community of imperfect people gathered around a perfect Savior; worshipping together, growing in Scripture, and welcoming anyone who wants to know more about Jesus Christ.
Our Church
We exist for one reason: to proclaim the eternal gospel of Jesus Christ to anyone who will hear it.
Abiding Word Lutheran Church is part of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod; a nationwide fellowship of over 400,000 believers committed to one conviction above all others: salvation is by God's grace alone, through faith in Christ alone, as revealed in Scripture alone. These are not slogans. They are the heartbeat of everything we do.
We are a confessional church, which means we don't reinvent our theology with the times. We hold to the historic Lutheran confessions because we believe they faithfully reflect what the Bible teaches; about sin, grace, forgiveness, and the life that Christ won for us on the cross.
What you'll find here is not a polished production or a crowd-pleasing experience. You'll find honest preaching, reverent worship rooted in the historic liturgy, the sacraments administered faithfully, and a community of people who are genuinely glad you showed up.
